There is a $50 participation fee per student for the musical. This is not intended to be a barrier to participation; if it is a hardship for your family, it can be waived.
These funds support the purchase or rental of supplies for prop, costume and set construction, hair and makeup, and sound and lighting equipment for the show.
A musical of this scale typically has a $20,000 budget. Relying on donations from local theaters, businesses, sports arenas, universities, and parent artists, our Open Musical has an average budget of $6,000, provided largely by this participation fee.
Donations of snacks and food for rehearsals, tech rehearsal and performances are handled separately.
